Disclosure: I received a party kit from Disney and MomSelect to facilitate my DisneySide @ Home event. I received no additional compensation. All opinions are my own.
I was honored to be selected to host a DisneySide @ Home Celebration for the second year in a row. As a Disney nut, it’s always fun to get together with others who share my love for The Mouse.
As a parent of an older boy, I received a lot of princess-themed items in my box, but it was a pleasure to give the items to friends with little girls who would truly appreciate them.
The party kit included Disney’s Palace Pets, decorations, cake mix, sandwich bags, and All Detergent mighty pacs, among other items. ( I have to admit, I use All Laundry products regularly but never tried the mighty pacs. I’m in love!)
The group, which included families who have been to one of the Disney parks, and those who haven’t, had different connections to Disney. A trivia game focused on different pieces, so everyone had a fair chance to do well.
Social media surrounding the DisneySide parties was very active, so it was easy to share (and steal) ideas from other hosts. There was also plenty of space to personalize a party to suit my family and guests.
The kids have been longtime friends, but this was a great excuse to get them together in a structured way. Since it has been such a rough winter (it’s snowing as I write this!) any positive activity was a great way to pass the time.
If you would like to have a Disney party at home, you can get a lot of great ideas and inspiration from disneysidecelebrations.com. It’s fun to show your #DisneySide!
